A Phase 3, randomized, placebo-controlled study evaluating the efficacy and safety of an investigational medication in adults with Graves’ disease that is inadequately controlled with antithyroid drugs.
- At least 18 years of age
- Documented diagnosis of Graves’ disease with TRAb levels at or above the upper limit of normal at screening
- Active hyperthyroidism due to Graves’ disease with TSH below 0.1 mIU/L at screening
- Treated with methimazole (MMI) or carbimazole (CBZ) for at least 12 weeks before screening; if treated for 26 weeks or less, a dose of MMI 20 mg/day or more, or CBZ 30 mg/day or more, for at least 4 weeks at some point before screening
- Treated with MMI 10 mg/day or more, or CBZ 15 mg/day or more, for the 4 weeks immediately before screening
- Able to stay on a stable dose of MMI 10 mg/day or more, or CBZ 15 mg/day or more, for at least 4 weeks before randomization
